Trevis and Lakhjot Khash from Langley concrete,Canadian Precast Prestressed Concrete Pipe Institute, delivered a lecture on precast and pipe design. Their talk highlighted detailed explanations of precast trenchless installations, micro-tunnelling pipes, stormwater management and installation of pipes.
One interesting topic of the lecture that lit up the students’ curiosity was Dry Cast. They also demonstrated the action of loads on a pipe during the movement of a vehicle. And lastly, they spoke about autogenous healing with an emphasis on direct and indirect design methods.
