Dylan Molloy is a graduate research assistant of civil engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He was born in Abbotsford Canada and received his degree of bachelor of applied science in civil engineering minor in computer science from the University of British Columbia in 2022. Research interests include high-rise buildings, probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, seismic design, and the sustainability aspect of building materials and building lifecycles. His current research is finding finding good ground motions of subduction zone earthquakes that will represent the seismic hazard in British Columbia. This ground-motion model can be utilized in a response-history analysis of a structure to improve the assessment of its seismic design. With this topic, he will move onto graduate studies and complete a master’s degree in applied science.
