ASSET Group Hosts Dr. Molina Hutt’s Presentation on Engineering for Seismic Resilience

The ASSET Group recently hosted a compelling presentation by Dr. Molina Hutt on “Engineering for Seismic Resilience.” The event took place on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the School of Engineering, UBC Okanagan.

Dr. Hutt, a renowned expert in seismic engineering, captivated the audience with an insightful showcase of sample research projects led by the Engineering for Seismic Resilience Lab (ESRLab). The lab’s work is focused on developing methodological approaches to assess seismic risk in buildings, with a strong emphasis on its implications for urban resilience. The presentation also featured an introduction to the UBC Disaster Resilience Research Network, a collaborative initiative co-led by Dr. Hutt.
